I have recently gotten back into photography.  In high school I loved taking pictures in art class.  My family had an old Pentax SLR from before the days of electronic devices in cameras.  It only took one tiny battery for the light meter.  Everything else (aperature, focus, zoom, film advance) was completely manual.  But with the 35mm and 200mm zoom lenses, it took amazing pictures.  Unfortunately film is exspensive, so I never kept up with my interest.  But with the cost of digital SLRs coming down, I was able to buy a Canon EOS Rebel XS.  With the freedom that digital photography affords, I am able to express myself through the lense of my camera once again.
